Documentazione tecnica

The curtain was raised on December 13, 2017 on the National Museum of Judaism and Shoah

Alba Doors among the protagonists of the MEIS.

The structure was opened by the Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini, seen the birth of Ferrara, together with the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella.
The Museum is housed in a large building in the heart of Ferrara, which until 1992 housed the city prisons – a place of imprisonment and exclusion par excellence – which returns to new life as a museum – the most open and inclusive place by definition.
The wall structure, the typological foundation of the former prison, becomes the place from which to regenerate the relationship with the city, modifying the closing in opening, the distance in the proximity.
The light in all environments will be zenithal, indirect and diffused: on the edges of the exhibition halls, through vertical openings, the city becomes part of the construction of the interior space in a substantial way. Culture and memory are elements in continuous evolution, interpretation and mutation, characteristics of which the exhibition content must contaminate.

The Alba Doors windows in stainless steel with thermal break gather in them the safety, the design of the characteristic 2mm thickness, the minimalist aesthetics, the resistance and the beauty of the best stainless steel AISI.

All this with the highest levels of thermal and acoustic insulation, thanks to advanced thermal cutting technologies. An uncompromising choice that encompasses the highest quality both in terms of performance and style and that blends well with the historical-cultural context of the Museum
